Westford Ma- The Westford Academy football team had 4 student-athletes selected to the 2023 All-Dual County League Coaches Teams, which were unveiled last month by league officials.
Senior QB Jake Cullen represented the Ghost offense as the league MVP. Cullen is the second Ghost in 2 years elected as league MVP. '22 graduate RB Anthony Rudiman, was the 2022 MVP. The 6-foot-2, 195 QB threw for 1,710 yards and 19 touchdowns, and rushed for 980 yards and eight touchdowns. Cullen was also selected as a Boston Herald All- Scholastic, Lowell Sun All-Star and Mass Coaches Association Div 1 Honorable Mention.
Junior DB/Athlete Alex Wilson received a First Team All Conference nomination. A two way player, Alex finished the season with 39 solo tackles, 118 assisted, 1 interception and 2 forced fumbles. On the offensive side of the ball, he had 810 rushing yards, 410 receiving yards and 9 total touchdowns. Alex was also selected as a Lowell Sun All-Star.
Juniors Jesse Moran and Evan Pasters both received League All Star nominations. At running back, Jesse compiled 4 touchdowns and over 500 total yards of offense. On the defense side of the ball, Jesse had 109 assisted tackles, 15 individual tackles, 6 tackles for loss, 1 interception and 2 sacks. WR/DB Evan Pasters had 570 yards and 6 touchdowns receiving. At cornerback he had 21 assisted tackles, 15 solo tackle and 1 interception.
